Overview

Grouse Campground is located just 16 miles from McCall, Idaho, on the shores of Goose Lake. Visitors enjoy canoeing, fishing and horseback riding. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature. If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service.

Best camp host and great place to camp!

We just did a 2400 mile trip from Utah to Glacier NP and down through Idaho stopping at 10 campgrounds along the way. What a fun place to stay here, the camp host (Jill) was the sweetest lady ever! Greeting us before we could get set up, she has been there 7 years and maintains the place very well! Nice and quiet with a beautiful drive up from the main road. Will be returning here in the future!

Beautiful

The campsite is clean and right by the water. There’s a ton of access to hikes and different places around the lake. Hiking up to granite mountain lookout was a highlight.
