Hazard Lake

Hazard Lake, near Pollock, Idaho, is a rustic campground that offers a serene escape into the heart of Payette National Forest. With its beautiful high-elevation lake, it's a prime spot for fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding, making it a favorite among those who enjoy water activities.

The campground features several sites equipped with fire pits and parking for two cars, though some spots lack water views, so arriving early is a smart move. Good Lake in the Backcountry

Decent about of campsites on the side of Hazard Lake. The lake itself is fairly small but many campers kayak or paddle board on it. Lots of fishing as well. All the sites have a fire pit and table plus parking for 2 cars if you park close. There are several sites that don’t really have water views so arrive early. I got in at 4pm on a Friday and there were only 2 spots left.

Off Grid

This is a review for the Hazard Campground. If you want to be off the grid this is it. No cell service. The campground did not have a camp host so roudy campers are not kept in check. Also the water pump was out of order due to the test for purity was not processed yet. Bring extra rolls of toliet paper because the outhouses ( while they were good) where not resupplied over the weekend. So if you love off the grid and willimg to wing it with neighbors and water go for it. Great brook trout fishing and plenty of wildlife to enjoy. It would be a good home base to explore the areas many trails.
