Challis National Forest manages Flat Rock Campground along a river corridor outside Stanley, Idaho, where the site runs close enough to the highway that road noise carries into camp. Open June through September, the campground stays uncrowded and includes toilets, picnic tables, firewood, and ADA-accessible facilities. Cell coverage is limited: one reviewer picked up Starlink but found no Verizon signal. Flat Rock Extension Campground sits just 0.2 miles northeast for campers wanting a nearby alternative.
