Boundary Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

A creek runs along the edge of this nine-site Forest Service campground in the Wood River Valley, audible from most sites and close enough that several reviewers specifically mention it as a reason to return. Set within Sawtooth National Forest, Boundary operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no camp host on-site, which keeps the atmosphere low-key and self-directed. The season runs Memorial Day through Labor Day, with nightly fees ranging from $10 for standard sites to $20 for the larger double sites.

Sites are generously sized with picnic tables and grill stands, and large shade trees separate many of them from their neighbors. Site 7, a double site, has a short path leading directly to the creek and sits behind a meadow with open sightlines toward the surrounding mountains. Two vault toilets are maintained and consistently reported as clean. The campground has cell service, allows alcohol, and provides trash service, though pets are not permitted.

Corral Creek Canyon Dispersed and Antelope Creek campgrounds are nearby if Boundary fills up, and dispersed sites are also available further up the road. Ketchum, Idaho sits close enough for easy resupply runs. Catherine B. calls it "pretty much a fits my definition of campsite perfection," pointing to the site privacy and creek access as standout qualities. Boundary works best for campers who want a developed site with water access, shade, and walkable day-use trails without the structure of reservations or a hosted campground.

Beautiful quiet campground

Pretty much a fits my definition of campsite perfection. Campsite #7 is private with a short path to a nice creek, behind a large meadow, with views of the mountains. There are large shade trees in between many sites. #7 is one of a couple of double sites that are $20 rather than $10 per night. There is no camp host and no reservations for the sites. The campsites are generous in size with nice picnic tables and stands for your grill. There are two well kept pit toilets. With only 9 sites it’s a very quiet place, beautiful trail with nice day use next to the sites and hiking trails off the creek. The campground is popular and if full there are dispersed sites further up the road.

Close to town and nice

We stayed here last night. I know we’re at the end of the season, so the water was already turned off. There was a sign saying all sites $10. The river (creek) begins the campground was great, drowned out sound of the road. Big sites, 2 vault toilets and easy access to Ketchum.

Awesome!

Awesome campground! Clean quite yet close to town! River runs right behind it! Sites are far enough apart that neighbors won’t bug you! Plenty of trees and shade. Fees range from $10-$20 a night
