Pine Mountain Camp Ground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at Pine Mountain Camp Ground, a full-hookup campground in Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia, with electric, water, and sewer connections suited to RVs as well as tent sites tucked into the surrounding woods. The campground sits within a few miles of Franklin D Roosevelt State Park Campground, giving campers access to over 23 miles of maintained trails without driving far from their site. Pets are welcome, and the property includes two dog parks.

Water is a recurring draw here. Reviewers note that some sites overlook a lake while others sit deeper in the forest, so site selection matters depending on what you're after. Summer evenings tend to run cooler than expected for Georgia, which makes the season more manageable than campers sometimes anticipate. The Liberty Bell pool adds a practical option for families during warmer months.

Facilities include drinking water, showers, toilets, a dump station, and WiFi. Campfires are permitted. Cabins and yurts are available to reserve for those who prefer a roof. The small town of Pine Mountain is nearby, with walkable shops along its main street. Donna B. calls it "less than three miles from Callaway Gardens and FDR Park," which gives some sense of how much is within easy reach.

Campers who want to explore places to camp near Pine Mountain Valley will find the area has several options, including Pine Mountain RV Resort just to the east. This campground works well as a base for a multi-day stay with a mix of trail time and creature comforts.

Great spot for day hiking, camping or backpacking trips. Over 23 miles of well maintained trails and abundant campsites. Plenty of options for the novice or experienced backpacker. Great place to learn about President Roosevelt and the CCC. Peaceful woods and quiet streams make this an idyllic location to get away from it all.
