Get away from it all...without getting too far away

Secluded and quiet, but 10 minutes from anything you forgot to bring. Ideal for RV'ing, this place is good for picnics, hiking, or just peaceful reflection. Tent camping is also available.

Scenic views, waterfalls and history

Great spot for day hiking, camping or backpacking trips. Over 23 miles of well maintained trails and abundant campsites. Plenty of options for the novice or experienced backpacker. Great place to learn about President Roosevelt and the CCC. Peaceful woods and quiet streams make this an idyllic location to get away from it all.

Good value for the money

Lots of campsites, fishing, pavillions and bath houses. Sites for tents and RV's. Conveniently located near Alexander City in case you forgot anything. Loaded with activities for the whole family, fishing, water sports, hiking, geocaching, or just relaxing in the shade, this place has pretty much everything.

Off the beaten path and well worth it

First time staying here and will be back! Took our Boy Scout Troop to this campground and the owners couldnt have been more gracious, Plenty of room for 51 boys and adult leaders, separate facilities for male and female and probably the best Trout pond I have ever seen! Minutes from whitewater rafting and shopping/restaurants. The creek by my tent was the perfect spot to sleep. The worst part was leaving the next day.

Secluded yet convenient

Even though you are technically within the city limits of Auburn, you really feel like you are away from it all. Perfect for camping with the Boy Scouts or just a day of hiking with the family, there is something for everyone here. Covered pavilions, fishing, hiking, camping, bike trails, you name it, there is something for everyone. My preference is to hike, but if camping is your thing, there are plenty of options, from primitive camping to RV spots. Try this hidden gem!
