Oconee Springs County Park

The closely spaced sites at Oconee Springs County Park create a communal camping atmosphere where RVs up to 34 feet can access full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. The county-managed facility operates year-round with amenities like showers, a dump station, and firewood sales. Sites sit directly adjacent to each other with minimal separation, making this setup work well for groups camping together but offering little privacy for individual families.

Campers appreciate the on-site beach area where children can use water inflatables and playground equipment. The bathrooms receive positive marks for cleanliness according to recent visitors. For those exploring the region, campgrounds just outside Eatonton provide additional options with different site layouts and amenities.

Oconee Springs

We recently stayed at Oconee Springs. The campground was very difficult to park in, as the spaces were right on top of each other. There’s not much privacy as you’re right next to the other person (which is fine if you’re camping with friends). The beach area was great! Our kids enjoyed the inflatables in the water and the park. Bathrooms were very clean as well. It wasn’t my favorite camping experience, but I would give it 3/5 stars.
