    Nice amenities

Not the best not the worst. Totally does the job and has all the amenities. Just not our vibe. Sites were all on grass and after a couple of weeks camping just the south I sure appreciate some gravel or sand. All the things live in grass. Pool.. looked nice but it was locked. Another one where the offices closes at 5.. most seem to be open until 7-8pm my favorite was key west open til 10pm! Just nice to have someone to communicate with - were low maintenance - or some signage describing how to utilize things if the office is closed. Bathrooms clean & with AC, nice park, courts to play sports but not sure if any equipment available. Clubhouse was unlocked we played pool while we waited for an Uber to the baseball game.

Friendly, fun and great location for exploring South Florida

We stayed thirteen nights at this park.  We really enjoyed the stay and recommend.  The campsites are mostly nice.  There are a lot of seasonal campers and it seems those sites are nicer.  The sites closer to the cabin area are closer together.  I wouldn't recommend this campsite for actual campsite, but rather the excellent location and fun activities and amenities of the park.

The park has lots to do and while dated, it is kept in good shape.  The pool is lovely with lounge chairs, palm trees and a tropical feel.  They have a hot tub, too.  Everything clean and had a resort-feel.  There are an abundance of activities: pickle ball, shuffleboard, a nice mini-golf course, walking trail, clubhouse, fire pits and large open grassy space.

We have two active dogs and they have a huge field where we were able to run our dogs off-leash and chase the frisbee.  I am not sure if it is allowed, but there were others as well so seemed okay.  This was a real benefit when camping with pets that like to run.

The park is in a beautiful, agricultural area in the town of Redlands.  It is very tropical with farms, nurseries and lots of tropical fruit stands and interesting parks.  It feels rural but it is close enough to town to go to the Miami beaches or other activities.  If you go, check out all the agricultural farms, the Fruit and Spice stand, the 'Robert is Here' fruit stand and the Knaups Berry Farm for world class cinnamon rolls.  The lines were too long for us to wait, but we heard they were the best.

This is one of the most friendly parks I have stayed.  We were there on Christmas and New Years and had a total blast.  They had music, karaoke, dancing and potluck dinners. The staff was nice too, we met Jason who was super helpful.  My friend flew in to visit and she rented one of their deluxe cabins.  It was really nice, with a fireplace, fenced patio, loft, kitchen.  The entire experience at this resort was enjoyable and felt like being at camp.  Highly recommend a visit.

Beautiful campground with shady areas all around

The resort itself is large and surrounded by fruit trees, pine trees and other shady trees which offer coverage from the hot sun. Activities only December to April - pool is nice and the staff that directs you to your site is amazing. Otherwise no security after hours which allows rif raf to come in and use the pool, laundry facilities, etc which makes the area unsafe.

    Family Style Campground

We stayed here for two days on our way North from the Keys. It is a great family style campground close to Miami, Key Biscayne, and the Everglades National Forest. We used this as our landing area to enjoy the local beaches, amenities, and natural sites. There was a pickle ball tournament going on which looked like fun. The pool looked nicely appointed and clean, although, we did not use it. I did feel that the bathrooms close to our site were in need of an upgrade. They rated a low 2 stars. There is a walking/Biking path around the campground perimeter which is actively used.

    Quiet yet kinda safe

We stayed here about 4 days on our way down to the Keys. This park is mostly quiet but full of sketchy people. We saw our neighbors selling illegal firearms to a young kid in his front yard. Lock your stuff up if you're going to leave anything outside. The lots are huge and clean

    Mosquito Haven

When we were pulling in we noticed a train of 7-8 RV’s and trailers leaving. Didn’t think much of it. Went ahead and checked in, got to our camping site, etc. That’s when we noticed that it was literally swarming with mosquitos. Pulled out 3 thermacells but the swarms were so bad they didn’t even touch it. Couldn’t even open the trailer door for a split second without 10 mosquitos flying in. Ended up packing up and leaving within the hour and getting a nearby hotel for the night. Manager refused a refund, and suggested we go to John Prince Park in the future. Have never had such a terrible experience with KOA in the past. 0 stars if I could.

    The Harbers

The staff has always been INCREDIBLY RUDE, except for Ferni and Crystal who left due to the toxic environment. Hot tub is broken CONSTANTLY. They almost impounded our travel trailer claiming we abandoned it there, even though they were getting paid $1,000 a month for us to have it there. They took payment from someone who used a credit card of mine who is not an authorized user. They should not have been able to charge me for the last month that we had to pay in full even though we were there only half. Now I have to fight to get that money returned to me and from past experience, this will be ugly. The maintenance man is known to cuss people out and for being drunk. Not worth the money nor the unpleasant atmosphere. Lake Okochobee is more than half of the price and everyone there is so friendly!! I even got a trailer warming gift from my neighbor. Everyone came out to welcome me. Nice!! What a difference!! Thank you Aruba Rv resort for being so friendly and economical and right on the water and having a pool and restaurant.

    Great Location

First of all, this was a great location to visit the lion country safari. We stayed in a tent site.

Pros: The facilities were well kept and nice enough for a campground. People were not too noisy. The lions were plenty noisy, and it was so cool to hear them in the morning!

Cons: There was no privacy whatsoever between sites and the sites were very close together. The lampposts were plentiful and bright which isn't so great when sleeping in a tent. Also, no fire rings.

    Peace & Quiet

If you’re looking for a warm, peaceful and friendly place to spend the winter months, this is the place. Very clean, beautiful palm trees and friendly staff. However, be warned that you are one hour away from the closest town and major shopping (Walmart). In other words this campground is truly remote. There is a gas station, convenience store and a few places where you can get simple takeout on the Big Cypress reservation. The rest of the reservation consists mostly of cattle ranches, sugarcane and citrus.

Nice well kept park in Miami. It is technically a Miami address, but there are more nurseries and farms than a Miami feel.

Clean, but tight, with a rookie staff

We had high hopes for this campground, as it is a few miles west of our house, and could be a convenient layover when traveling through town. We tried to make a reservation online, but there was some issue with the site, so we called. We explained that we were just overnighting, and didn’t care about water views or amenities. We also told them we were in a 45 foot fifth wheel. The process to make our reservation took 5 phone calls. Every call was like starting from scratch. On the fifth call, which was actually a callback from them, the agent told my wife that luckily, she was able to get us a water site. My wife explained that we didn’t care about a view, and just wanted easy access for our 45’ toy hauler. They went back and forth for a few minutes and finally settled on site 12. They were able to accommodate us for the night for the low price of $120, including tax and a $25 amenity fee.

We were caught in a few traffic jams on the way in, and ended up arriving half an hour after sunset. We were greeted by an armed security guard who showed us on a map where site 110 (our new waterfront site) was. I asked whether I would be able to turn around at the loop at the end of the road, as the site was angled to back in as you would leave rather than enter. He said maybe. I got to the site and realized it would be impossible to back in without dragging my 20,000 pound camper through their grass, so I went to the end of the street to turn around. There wasn’t adequate room to turn my truck around, let alone my camper, so we backed down the street, and proceeded to install some new ruts in the landscape around site 110.

In between the time we made our reservation, and arriving, we received at least 4 phone calls from the campground. One was asking us to text a picture of our rig to a random New York phone number, so they could show their security guy what our camper would look like. We thought this was odd. All of the rest, were to ask about the length of or rig. At one point, my wife asked the woman on the phone if she was sure our rig would fit, and what the actual length of the site was. The woman assured her that the site was “max 50 A-M-P.” My wife said she wasn’t asking about 50 amp electric service, but the length of our site. The women assured her that it was 50 A-M-P.

Turns out we should have been a little more concerned with the electric service, as they had given us a pull in site for a bus, and we were unable to hook up to sewer, and had to run our electric cable and water hose under the camper. Luckily we were able to reach.

Will we stay again? I really hope not. Even though it’s literally 10 minutes west of our house, and by far the most convenient location for us to stay, the park is too tight, and the staff too poorly trained to be tolerable. The spot was pretty, and the location for someone who is doing the tourist thing would be great. Shopping, the beach, and great restaurants are all nearby. We were swapping a few things between the camper and our house, so the location was good for us, but I will probably search for a better spot further from home next time we pass through.

    5 summer months

So, we were here a bit long term in the summer. Staying here in the summer is as bad as being in Vermont in winter. You need a reason to be there and sadly we did.
First off, waking up to lions roaring and bonobos scream in the morning was freaking amazing! I will treasure this memory for the rest of my life. The facilities are aging but are clean. The ladies in the front office were awesome and accommodating. We purchased a new RV while there and they had no issues moving us and making sure we were good with moving up from a 30 Amp to a 50 Amp site. At $99/night it is expensive and by not having the facilities of a KOA Holiday and being so far away from the Highway as a KOA Journey I can't give it 5 stars but, it is damn close.

Would Not Recommend, Does Not Cater to Law Enforcement

We inquired about reserving one of their cabins for a week long stay over Thanksgiving. We let them know that we would have 2 adults and 3 children. The lady I spoke with informed us that she would need the owner’s approval for the number of occupants and an extra fee may apply. We received approval for our request October 13th, mailed the deposit per their request, and obtained an email confirming the reservation on October 17th.

At the end of October I attempted to reach the resort by phone and email to add my partner’s name (he is currently the chief of a law enforcement department) to the reservation, since he was going to arrive first. I received an email response a week later, asking how many people were coming again. Over the course of the next few days, I attempted calling to provide the information they were requesting. When I finally spoke with a representative and provided my partner’s information, she responded by letting me know the owner would be calling me back. I received a phone call yesterday from a representative, not the owner, stating my reservation had been canceled and there was nothing I could do about it. I pleaded my case with the representative that it was a last minute cancellation after an agreement had been reached and a deposit had been accepted, and they stated the cancellation had already been made and that my deposit would be refunded. Now we’re left to find a place a week before Thanksgiving and deal with the last minute price increases.

The lack of integrity, communication, and consideration considering how long this reservation has been in place speaks volumes about their business practices. We would not recommend doing business with this company and apparently they don’t care about doing business after finding out a law enforcement family had made reservations.

Very tight parking and roads. The water pressure was terrible. The best part about the park is backing your RV up to the docks on the river and seeing all the boats go by at night.

Had reservation but Drove in and drove out. Near I-95 but in sketchy neighborhood. Looks like most people living her permanently as lots of clotheslines and work trucks. Small store attached to office, showers and toilets. No shade. RVs packed in tight. Wife refused to stay here...and I agreed! No reason to book here. reason to book here.
