Awful! Dirty! Criminal element! Pricey!

We did an extended stay for over a year. At first it was cool but the owner/landlord is a very strange man. A family member of his was the original owner, Peanut. The present owner started doing improvements, nice amenities but he also started pushing out residents who had older campers even if they had nice ones. He erected security cameras but never put up signs to alert folks of the cameras. Class C felony in FL. The residents he wanted out he bullied and harassed and threatened with eviction with no cause. We were threatened but we always had paid our rent. No reason not to in my way of thinking. The rent was fair $500/month all inclusive. He issued orders for residents like get rid of dogs but dogs were allowed per the lease. Our lease was up 3/31/2023 but we’re only given notice in June 2023. And he chose to present me with the notice of non-renewal on 6/1/2023, the day my vet husband was admitted to the hospital which the owner knew about. Then the next day he offered me $600 to get out by 6/15. A bribe…

The best part of living there were my neighbors, the maintenance man and the manager. Thanks Al and Mac. You guys rock, you were awesome!

This place I would only recommend for overnight stays, not extended stay.

Out of the Way & Quiet

I lived in this park for three years long term. The original owner (Peanut) was still alive but I believe his Son now runs the place. I had a site on the back side and had plenty of room to spread out. One thing though was towards the end of my stay a group of shall we say Meth heads moved in next door and made my last few months there interesting (fights, alot of vehicle traffic etc) so I left. I live this way to get away from that type of folks so it was a deal breaker. Reasonable rent, fixed rate for long term visitors and enough amenities to let you keep your laundry clean. No showers were available when I lived there but that may have changed by now. There is a lake there and alot of ducks and chickens on the park grounds. Most people there keep to themselves and dont cause trouble.

Not so great camping

This place is more for long term residents. You can camp if there is an available spot. Not much to do except stay over night and then head out to find State parks that aren't to far away.
