Peaceful place to relax.

All RV spots are back in, but easy access that include water and electric. There is a central RV dump station at the exit. There is also a shower house on site. Well maintained with park host on site to address any issues. The lake was drained in 2017 for a full renovation and to improve the fish habitat. The campground is pet friendly, and a very nice place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature.

A nice state run campground

The lake system in the Blackwater Forest is under renovation so fishing may currently be prohibited. Beautiful lake. Clean but dated bath houses.

Lakeside Camping

If you are a fan of taking your time while camping and doing some fishing this is the place for you! The campground is split up into two areas on either side of the lake (the upper and lower) and both have walking paths, camping, and lake access. I am unable to remember which side is which but one has more tent/car camping and the other side is more compatible for RV camping. There are several trails that circle around the lake and connect the two campgrounds. The trails are really beautiful and have a good amount of wildlife that you can see. Outside of the few trails around the lake there is not an incredible amount to do in the area but this is still a good option if you need a place to stay or stop in while in the area. All the facilities at both sites are very nice and well maintained. The trails are also well marked and there are many maps to make sure you don't get lost.

Not bad if you love to fish

If you love fishing this is a great place when the water level is up. It's Florida, so bring bug spray for sure! I wouldn't say it's picturesque, but it's well maintained for the most part and pretty quiet most of the time. If you just want a quick, safe, weekend trip with fishing it's a great little spot.
