I can’t believe they call this an RV Resort! 😡

  1. No security. Lobby is rarely open.

  2. No fire pits and no contained campfires allowed.

  3. NO DOG PENS ALLOWED

  4. Snotty reception

  5. Only shuffleboard and a boring pool on-site.

  6. I measured the difference between myself and my “(neighbor)” and we are exactly 11 inches apart. They cram people in together while many other sites are open. I guess that makes their job easier?

This is a mobile home park that allows RVs. The management is just like in HOA and has no knowledge of camping whatsoever. They lure you win with good prices for long term stays, and then make your life a living hell by not allowing true camping. No matter what your budget is, spend a little extra money and go somewhere or you will have a lot more fun.

Convenient location

We had a wedding to attend in Clearwater and this was the closest park. Mostly long term and residential campers. Very friendly and very helpful to us during our short stay. Kids loved the pool, but playground needs updating. It is a place to stay, but not a destination in itself.

Nice location

Best location for moving around the area.  Use Drew not Gulf to Bay to move across the city.

Great customer service Suzy and the crew are very helpful.  Ice Cream  Sunday nights and many activities all week. Most are sponsored by the Snow Birds.

The sites are small and sandy with a small patio pad.   Some sites are water logged when it rains.  They are working on fixing these issues and upgrading the small patios a few per year. The bath houses are clean and secure.  Some toilets have rings/seats that don't match and some toilets are short.  Two laundry facilities and they all work.

In recent years they have more children in the park.  It would be nice if they winters were 55+ RVers.

We have spent 5 winters here.

Close to the beaches

Off a very busy road hidden behind a hotel and a restaurant. Very clean and tidy park with RV sites and park models. Huge laundry room and very nice bath houses. Customer service is good. The only downside is that they packed us in like sardines. Extremely narrow sites. Lots of smokers so we had to keep our windows closed most of the time. Overall it was okay. We’d stay again if we didn’t have another option.

Frequently Asked Questions

What amenities and facilities are available at Clearwater RV Resort?

Clearwater RV Resort offers several amenities for guests. The property features a swimming pool that's popular with families and a shuffleboard court. Facilities include large, clean laundry rooms and well-maintained bath houses. The resort also hosts regular activities throughout the week, including Sunday night ice cream socials and various events often organized by seasonal residents. While the playground exists, it could use updating. The sites themselves come with small concrete pads, though they're notably narrow with limited space between neighbors.

Where is Clearwater RV Resort located and how close is it to Clearwater Beach?

Clearwater RV Resort is located off a busy road in Clearwater, tucked behind a hotel and restaurant. While the exact distance to Clearwater Beach isn't specified, the resort's location is described as convenient for exploring the area. For easier local travel, using Drew Street rather than Gulf to Bay Boulevard is recommended when moving across the city. The resort's location makes it a practical choice for those attending events in Clearwater, though it's more of a base for accessing nearby attractions than a beachfront property.

What do reviews say about Clearwater RV Resort?

Clearwater RV Resort receives mixed feedback. Positive aspects include the clean, tidy grounds, good customer service from staff like Suzy and her team, and convenient location for exploring the area. The resort's organized activities and ice cream socials are appreciated by guests. However, the extremely narrow sites are frequently mentioned as a significant drawback, with some spaces measuring just 11 inches apart. Other concerns include limited recreation options, lobby availability, and some restrictive policies regarding dogs and campfires. The resort seems better suited as a convenient base than a destination itself.

Are there long-term stay options at Clearwater RV Resort?

Yes, Clearwater RV Resort accommodates long-term stays and has a significant number of long-term and residential campers. The park contains a mix of RV sites and park models, with many occupied by seasonal residents often referred to as "Snow Birds" who organize various activities during their extended stays. This makes the resort a community-oriented place for those seeking longer-term accommodation options rather than just overnight stays.
