Making Improvements

We have camped here several times. Due to Covid there are no camp hosts in the RV camping areas and no one is working at the check-in station. The ranger drives through a couple times a day. This park is operating at reduced capacity at this time. The bath houses are fairly clean. The campsites have recently been graded and gravel refreshed, but they have not been maintained well this summer and many are grown over with weeds. I expect that will get better once the camp hosts are brought back. There are really pretty hiking trails and easy access to Silver Lake. There’s a brand new two-lane dump station that is easily accessible. Normally there is firewood available for a donation but there is none at this time.

Close to the beaches

Off a very busy road hidden behind a hotel and a restaurant. Very clean and tidy park with RV sites and park models. Huge laundry room and very nice bath houses. Customer service is good. The only downside is that they packed us in like sardines. Extremely narrow sites. Lots of smokers so we had to keep our windows closed most of the time. Overall it was okay. We’d stay again if we didn’t have another option.

Love It

Immaculate grounds, clean and modern bath houses, three laundry rooms. Very dog friendly with doggy bag stations and dog parks. Right on the bayou with a kayak launch and docks for fishing and relaxing. We like it so much that we made it our home base for our travels.
