Sunfox Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sunfox Campground sits in a valley in Lisbon, Connecticut, where a creek runs along many of the sites and a small pond anchors the property's water access. The campground operates from mid-April through mid-October and accommodates rigs up to 70 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer. A dump station and WiFi round out the utility side. The valley setting gives the property a defined, enclosed feel rather than open-field camping.

Families make up the core of the crowd here. The property has a pool, playground, a large jumping pillow described by reviewers as "a huge trampoline you can't fall off of," and a snack shack open on weekends. Weekend events for kids are a regular feature. The creek-side sites are a draw for anglers and swimmers, and the pond gives campers another water option. Cleanliness has been a recurring topic in reviews, with some guests noting bathroom issues in past years and more recent visitors reporting the facilities in good shape, so it may be worth checking current conditions before booking.

The main office is located in the owners' living quarters on site, which some guests have found off-putting. Pets are allowed, and reservations are available. Boat-in access is listed alongside standard drive-in, making the property reachable by water. Hidden Acres Campground is about 2.8 miles south for campers who want to compare options in the area, and Ross Hill RV Park & Campground sits roughly 3 miles northeast.

50/50

I was a little turned off by their main office being in their living room. It was very messy. Bathrooms were small and very hot

Great campground for kids

This is a quant campground geared towards families being out together. They have a beautiful pool, playground and a large jumping pillow like a huge trampoline you can’t fall off of. There is a beautiful creek that many of the sites border. The new owners have owned it about 7 years and they have really been making it a lovely place.

Best campground!

This place is a dream. Stayed here for a month in the fall. Campground is situated in a beautiful valley with a little pond, hiking trails, playground, jumping pillow, swimming pool and hot tub. Owner is very involved, energetic, and friendly. There are events for the kids every weekend and it’s such a fun environment! Will definitely be back!
