Riga Lean-To

Riga Lean-To offers very basic amenities typical of backcountry camping. The site features a three-sided shelter (lean-to) that provides protection from the elements while maintaining an open wilderness experience. The lean-to is designed for primitive camping with no electricity, running water, or bathroom facilities. Hikers should be prepared to follow Leave No Trace principles, pack in all supplies needed, and pack out all waste. Water should be treated or filtered from natural sources in the area.

Riga Falls is not directly visible from the Riga Lean-To campground. The lean-to is located near Bear Mountain, while Riga Falls is in a different section of the park. To visit the falls, campers would need to hike to that specific area. The distance and trail conditions between the lean-to and the falls vary seasonally, so it's advisable to obtain a current trail map and check with park officials about the best route to view the falls during your visit.
