San Isabel National Forest's Twin Lakes area includes this dispersed camping zone north of the reservoir, managed by the US Forest Service and accessed by drive-in road. Sites are clean and flat, with fire pits, and the area has at least six tent sites at one pull-off alone, plus additional drive-up spots further along the road. Crowds are light. The lake is visible from some sites but not within easy walking distance from camp. Campers exploring places to camp near Granite will find this one of several dispersed options in the corridor. Very nice, but wish it was closer to lake

Stayed here 8/19/25. There are many dispersed camping spots, some to drive in to and others to drive and walk a few feet to a campsite. I parked at a little pull off on the right side of the road and tent camped at one of at least 6 tent sites at this location. This was one of the first car pull offs, but further up the road are more drive up sites for car camping. I was the only one here at this particular spot this date. The spaces are clean, flat, and have fire pits. I personally had a small view of a lake, but most of the sites didn’t. I wish the lake was a walkable distance away, but it’s not (you’d have to walk on a main road and down some mountains).
