Turquoise Lake gives Baby Doe Campground its main draw, with sites close enough to the water for fishing, paddling, and lakeside walks. The campground sits within San Isabel National Forest and runs from late May through early September, with RVs up to 32 feet accommodated. Sites have good spacing between them, pine needle ground cover under the tree canopy, and shade from the surrounding forest. Some sites run tight for trailers. Campground hosts are on-site, toilets are clean and plentiful, and cell service is available. Anglers, paddlers, and anyone staging trips into camping near Leadville will find this a functional base.
