Great location great host

Got here around 2pm on a Friday and to my surprise there were only two or three other groups there so it felt like I had the place to myself which was great for me and my puppy. Sites are relatively close together but if you’re there while it’s quiet it shouldn’t matter. Host was also super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful Lake

Sites were fairly close together, but everyone was friendly. Filled up quickly on Friday, FCFS campground.

Vault toilets and firewood are both close by. Short walk to the lake, which is beautiful. Trail accessible within the grounds.

Awesome location

We decided that we didn’t need a table or fire ring and chose the lower lot. #5 is the best. Good views, right on the water. Only negatives is the closing of the rv dump down the road.

Awesome Overflow Campground and Host

This overflow campground has always come through for us when we’ve gotten a late start. We take our Dodge Travato and a tent. We are able to have a campfire-in the approved location of course! Mt. biking, swimming, hiking, SUP.... so many activities!

The lake is stunning but Tabor campground is kind of unappealing.

Tabor campground is the least desirable campground at Turquoise Lake. It’s a large parking lot and you setup camp in front of your vehicle, there’s no Aspen trees between the campsites so there’s a lack of privacy. Sometimes during events like the ultra-marathon the whole area can be inundated with tourists and this campground fills up primarily with campers that didn’t make a reservation for one of the more appealing campgrounds at Turquoise Lake.

Lakeside views and lots of privacy

Be prepared because this campground closes for the season soon! Nice site, great location near leadville and lakeside. Clean facilities and could fit any size RV here.

lovely campground in the woods

Great campground with lots of tree cover and with only a short walk to the lake. The trail around the lake is good for hiking and biking. Clean facilities
