Description
Serene and quiet. Come for solitude and connection to nature, surrounded by wildlife and unobstructed views of the stars, without any light pollution. Our land is in a valley nestled in the mountains, bordered by thousands of acres of BLM. You have direct access to wandering through the forest, intense hiking with views of Pikes Peak and the Sangre de Cristos, or just sit by the creek and view wildlife or meditate.
The sites are next to a year-round creek, so you can fall asleep to the sounds of water smoothly moving. Bring your own tent or explore the variety of options depending on interest and adventure, including;
- your tent and bedding;
- a hammock under the stars;
- a treehouse with a hammock or cot;
- a cowboy range tent (small tee-pee) with a bedroll;
- a bell tent with a full-size bed, a wall tent with a full-size bed;
- a cabin with a woodstove and full-size bed.
This is listed as primitive camping because there are no showers or running water. There is a composting outhouse, drinking water, and a cook shack with utensils, spices, and a grill available for your use.
Canon City is 35 minutes away, and has a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, and other shopping and activities available.
This is not a loud party camp, this is a place of peace and slowing down to enjoy life. No dogs allowed and no disruptive or loud activities are welcome.
