The Best Camping Near Nederland, Colorado

Entering Gordon Gulch from highway 72, we like the areas on the southeast side of the ridge about 1.5 miles in. 

The access road is moderately rocky with some steeper grades but not technical. Crossover/small suv wont have an issue getting back in here.

The camp sites are all pretty good size with plenty of room for a few tents, small/medium pull behind or overland rig. Most all spots have some sort of stone fire pit built up. Plenty of stones around to build them up if needed, it does get pretty breezy. Plenty of trees for hammocks and privacy but some sites are within eye-site of others. This far east side has some cell service, the west side both so much. 

Ease of access and proximity makes it a pretty popular area for ATVs. 

If you’re looking for secluded serenity this isnt the spot but it is a great place for a quick getaway or to test your setup for more remote locations.
