Cowdrey Lake State Wildlife Area

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Managed by the Bureau of Land Management within the campgrounds around BLM Land — Kremmling Field Office, Cowdrey Lake State Wildlife Area sits just off Highway 125 near Cowdrey, Colorado. Sites are exposed with minimal shade, one tree noted on the reservoir's edge. A vault toilet, fire rings, a small pier, and a boat ramp are on-site. Wildlife around the reservoir includes pronghorn, beavers, storks, prairie dogs, and trout. Verizon cell service is reportedly reliable. Pack insect repellent, as horse flies can be aggressive in summer.

Beautiful reservoir

Vault toilet onsite. The reservoir is full of wildlife: Storks, Prairie Dogs, Pronghorn, Beavers, ducks, Canadian Geese, and Trout. Horse flies ate me alive but mosquitoes weren't bad. One big tree for shade but other than that sites are exposed. Fire rings available. Small pier and boat ramp.

Great overnight or even for a few days

Right off the Hwy 125, several spots for RVs and tents.

You should buy the (SWA) Annual Pass , $11 for the year for seniors. Colorado has lots of SWA camping, Good Verizon service!

We camped in  a 22ft travel trailer
