Little Bear Campground

Great campground! Super close to the lake. The camp hosts were so nice. When we went it was $20 per night, which is different from what I found online.

We left hell and found heaven

We went searching for a free camping spot near Gunnison and got horribly stuck in mud on roads that were too awful for our car, even with 4wheel drive. Grand Mesa/Little Bear is located in Colorado


From Cedaredge, CO, take Colorado 65 (Grand Mesa Drive) north about 16 miles to the campground sign (Forest Road 116), just past the Grand Mesa Visitor Center. Turn left at the sign onto the gravel Forest Road 116 toards Island Lake and go 0.8 miles to another campground sign. Turn right just before the sign into Little Bear Campground.
