Description
Open BLM land south of US 160 in the rolling high-desert terrain between Bayfield and Durango, this dispersed area sits at roughly 7,000 feet with limited shade and wide skies. Access is through a cattle guard off US 160 — GPS can route incorrectly onto county roads, so stay on 160 until the cattle guard and posted signs appear. The entrance sits just east of a private property marked by a collection of old trucks.
