Spaceport RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Gravel pads and concrete slabs line the lots at Spaceport RV Park, a no-frills overnight stop in Mojave, California, sitting directly adjacent to the Mojave Air and Space Port. The setup is utilitarian by design. Sites run close together, though reviewers note that nightly spots are generally kept separate from the longer-term monthly residents, so the area around short-stay pads tends to have room to maneuver. Trains pass through occasionally, and the airfield next door means aircraft activity during the day, but multiple reviewers describe the nights as notably quiet.

Full hookups, including electric, water, and sewer, are available, and the park also provides access to showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station. Rates have ranged from $20 to $25 per night in recent reviews. The dump station and freshwater fill are available to non-overnight guests as well, at $5 and $2 respectively, making it a practical mid-route stop for RVers passing through the high desert. Bathrooms have received consistent marks for cleanliness. RVs up to 35 feet are accommodated, and reservations are available, though the park accepts walk-ins with payment envelopes when the office is closed.

"Handy stop for water and dump," Helen F. puts it simply, and that captures the park's core value well. A Denny's is within walking distance, and the airfield's small restaurant and viewing area is worth a short detour. Campers planning a longer stay in the region can browse campgrounds near Mojave or consider Sierra Trails RV Park as an alternative base. If you need a straightforward overnight with full hookups in the Mojave Desert, this park delivers exactly what it advertises.

A basic but affordable RV park offering full hookups and helpful staff in a no-frills parking lot setting. Campers appreciated the value and clean facilities, though some noted the bare-bones aesthetic lacks charm for extended stays.

Worth $25 for the hookups

It is no longer $20, rather $25 now per night. But still worth it. I called ahead but she said no worries 👍. I got to the park after the office was closed but there are payment envelopes. So I picked a spot, parked, and dropped off my payment. Bathrooms have free showers but they were closed. Laundry room was open though. Dennys in walking distance. So quiet. Occasionally a train goes by but I love the trains.

What this place lacks in looks more than makes up for in service

Mojave is in the middle of no where. But if you find yourself out this way, Spaceport RV Park makes up for it. Full hookup for $20.00/ night and VERY helpful park staff!!! It’s my understanding they let you dump for $5.00 and fill your freshwater tank for $2.00 even if you don’t stay here.

Just a Parking Lot

Cheap, no-frills full hook-up RV park near the mojave airfield and space port. You are literally parking in a parking lot with hook-ups. It’s bare bones.

Basic, Friendly, Cheap Place to Park an RV for a Night

A step or two up from a casino parking lot (probably more like 3.5 stars), this is a basic, friendly and most of all cheap place to park your RV for a night. There's laundry facilities, showers and bathrooms. Most excitedly there's water and electric hookups and a sewer dump all included for the flat $20 price. If you're stopping here on the way to somewhere else for a night and have a self-contained RV, this is a great place to get some cheap, quiet sleep.

Spots are on gravel or a concrete pad with plenty of room to maneuver, and while some are right next to each other, when we were there there was plenty enough open spaces to not have to cram in. Lots of monthly/permanent residents but mostly those rigs are off in other areas separate from the nightly spots. Overall the feeling is of a safe, friendly, basic spot to stop for the night, but not somewhere you'd want to set up a table and chairs and hang out for an extended period of time.

Tips: The coolest thing about this park (besides its nice price) is the Mojave Air & Space Port located immediately next door. Stop by its little park and cute, friendly restaurant where you can watch airplanes take off while having delicious fries or a milkshake.
