Too expensive!

Staff did their job, no extra friendliness. Space was concrete, but not level. Most spaces are dirt. All back-ins. Uphill to sewer. Paying for the pool and spa. Views are buildings or railroad and shipyard. I asked ppl why they stay here at this price. 1) they don't know any better (or more money than sense), 2) gated so they feel "safe", 3) bike trail leads to beach 4) like me….just needed to be close to LA. I will find a better place. Also said there is wifi and yet there is none.

Worth $25 for the hookups

It is no longer $20, rather $25 now per night. But still worth it. I called ahead but she said no worries 👍. I got to the park after the office was closed but there are payment envelopes. So I picked a spot, parked, and dropped off my payment. Bathrooms have free showers but they were closed. Laundry room was open though. Dennys in walking distance. So quiet. Occasionally a train goes by but I love the trains.

It's ok

No wifi. Almost no phone signal too. Full hookups but sewer line has to go uphill. Nice lady. No reservations. No credit cards. Checks or cash. Right next to Hwy 101.

Not bad for RV park

First let me say RV parks are my least favorite places to stay, thus 4 stars. But when a heatwave comes through I need hookups for AC. I stayed 2 nights. Very clean grounds. Several shade trees. Lots of little kids. Wi-Fi was great. Could work and stream TV. Facilities (bathrooms and showers) were nice. Pool was wonderful. Staff were super friendly. Gave my dog a treat! Lots of dogs. Tiny dog park, gravel, but grassy areas around too. Right behind shopping center with Walmart, Target, Lowe's and much more. Only negatives were, even though it was a week after the 4th of July, both nights someone was shooting fireworks, sounded like in the park, so my poor dog was terrified. It also smelled like sewage. Someone said Gilroy often has a bad smell. My spot wasn't too bad but my sewer line was right in front of this other camper's front door. I was backed up inches from their slide-out. Rates were reasonable, considering full hookups, a pool and the Wi-Fi. I'd stay again if I'm in that area.

I didn't stay. Can't believe it has 5 stars!

I guess if you stayed on the water it might be nice but the campground itself was pretty bad. 1st they have blocked any phone signal so even with my WeBoost I could not work from here. 2nd the flies were horrible. 3rd my site was across from overflowing trash can. 4th the hookups are on the wrong side so you can't back in where you should. The photos on their website are very deceptive. They shot them so your site looks close to the water but it's not. If there's a problem there is no one you can call. I was tired, it was late, and I had to leave and drive down to Merced and sleep in Lowe's pkg lot. 2 stars because I emailed them, and they did give me a refund. I guess if you're local and this is all you know…..

Nice clean quiet campground

I loved using Ventura County's online reservation system. So easy and I could book same day! I stayed in Site #4. Some shade. Short drive into Ojai which I love. Only a few people here, love that. Bathrooms are locked but I have my own. Great signal with AT&T on my phone because you can see the cell tower. Host drove by, she was very pleasant. I will come here again.

Wonderful woods

This has been my favorite spot after traveling all across US. I wanted to hide in the forest. Nothing but trees and the wind blowing through them. It was an adventurous drive on a curvy mountain road to get here, but we'll worth it. There are 48 sites (no hookups) and it's just me and one other person pretty far away. Very clean. With a pass, I only paid $4 per day. Nice clean vault toliets. Water available. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Corrals for horses. Wood to burn laying around everywhere. Rangers were very friendly and helpful when I came in. I'm staying 4 days this time. I'll be back. I used my WeBoost and was able to teach online and even stream some TV. The dog has loved the nice forest floor to run on and lay on. I drove into Georgetown (6 miles) one day and had the best time exploring the shops and talking to the locals. Gas station has propane. Back in or pull through sites. You can call and reserve or just show up and find an open spot. I was there in May 2021.

Very nice for an urban RV park

I needed a place to stay to visit family. It is conveniently located. Spaces all had strips of grass on either side, and nice shade trees. Bathrooms were very nice and very clean. Laundry was cheap to do. Lots of folks with dogs, I like that. But no dog poop on the grounds. I had full hookups for a Saturday and Sunday. Site 12. Nice pull through. I would stay here again. Justin was very friendly and offered help for anything I might need.

Perfect urban campground

I was stranded in Denver by a snow storm ahead. I called Prospect and they found a spot for me. When I walked in the office, I was greeted by 5 wonderful sweet dogs. I love dogs so there couldn't have been a better greeting. Kathy was very friendly and helpful. I was a bit early but she juggled things around and got me in. Dump station is convenient and easy to use. Showers (hot and clean!) are private and you have your own key. The laundry was great too. They had a nice pull through available close to the restrooms. It was a great spot to rest for a few days. You can run errands/do shopping - everything is nearby. Nice to charge up and fill up my water tank. I didn't have to do much leveling at all. The spaces aren't too close. It is all gravel which I hated for the dog but right next to it is a nice lake and park which connects to hiking trails. So you're in the city but a few steps away, you feel like you're out. Best of both worlds. Lots of friendly folks in the park. I almost didn't want to leave. They sure helped me out and I enjoyed my stay.

Best campground ever!

I've traveled across the US and this is the best campground I've stayed in. First of all it's very clean which is surprising for Indiana. Back up to the river. Great views. Free hot showers! Quiet. Feels secluded though close to town. Good price too. Free wifi that worked so well we could both work online and stream TV! It does not get any better. Dog friendly. Nice playground for the kids. Fire circles and clean picnic tables at each site. If I lived here, I'd come here often. Great place. Walking and biking trails. Canoeing and kayaking. Historic bridge.

Nothing there unless you fish which costs extra!

Lots of monthly campers and lots of trash. I picked up a trash bag full just behind my spot. When you check-in the list of rules makes it feel very unwelcoming. The "lakes" are more like ponds but you have to stay away so the anglers get the water. Not supposed to even walk around! You back in so you're facing away from the water. The "dog walk" is a strip of grass by the very busy street. You hear all the traffic noise plus gunshots or blasts from somewhere nearby. Way over priced too. Go to White River campgrounds, amazing place!
