Description
This Shasta National Forest dispersed area sits in a narrow belt of conifers breaking up the high-desert scrubland north of Mount Shasta, with open views of the volcano from within the trees. The access spur is a sandy, narrow gravel track — 4x4 or high-clearance is strongly advisable, as the road offers no turnaround room and loose surface conditions can catch low-clearance or 2WD vehicles off guard. The site has room for multiple rigs and hosts a community-built fire ring; US 97 is close enough to carry faint road noise but not enough to disturb a night's sleep.
