Sacramento Shade RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sacramento Shade RV Park runs full hookups year-round, with sites accommodating RVs up to 40 feet and connections for electric, water, and sewer. It sits within Sacramento proper, giving road-trippers and work travelers a drivable urban base with on-site dump station access and showers. Sites are tight. Each one has a privacy fence and a small concrete pad, so slide-outs and larger rigs should factor in the spacing before booking.

The park skews heavily toward long-term residents, which shapes the atmosphere. Reviewers note that neighbors tend to be welcoming, with one camper remarking that "every person that walked by said hi and welcome." The management, specifically noted by name in recent reviews, has a reputation for being accessible and accommodating on short notice. Geese are present on the property and leave droppings around the grounds, so campers with dogs or kids should keep that in mind.

Cell service gets mixed marks, and the onsite WiFi has been described as weak or inconsistent. Those relying on a strong data connection for remote work may want a cellular backup plan. The park lists WiFi as an amenity, but reviews from 2022 suggest it does not always deliver. Nearby alternatives include Cal Expo RV Park and El Camino Mobile Home & RV Park, both within a few miles, for comparison before committing. Campers who need a no-frills, full-hookup stop in Sacramento with a low-key social atmosphere will find this worth a look.

Great stay for Sacramento area!

We travel for work and had to book last minute, Bruce was/is extremely nice and helpful! Super laid back and willing to help in anyway, we couldn’t be more happy with the customer service here. The sites are a little tight but not bad at all and each one has a privacy fence and small concrete pad. Will absolutely stay here again. Also while setting up, every person that walked by said hi and welcome! We have never experienced that much friendliness in a campground.

Just OK

Most of this park is long term. Invest by geese who love to leave their droppings everywhere. We had a last minute change in plans and chose this. Not sure we will be back. WiFi is very weak if you get it.
