Run down, and expensive

The place felt very tired, and lacking in any atmosphere. There is a pool, which was nice. There just wasn't anything else there to justify the steep price of $100 a night. Though I'd award 5 stars to the lovely German lady who checked us in and was very friendly.

Great location but run down

We spent 5 nights here and choose this location for it’s proximity to downtown, Aerial Tramway, and Joshua Tree. The park could be a gem once again, but currently worn down. The majority of campers are wonderful people, long-time return residents to the park. Trailhead 1/3 mile away.

Nice and quiet

Nice rv park, mostly long termers but it was clean and quiet. Spots were very close together but they all have 10 to 15 ft hedges on the sides so very private. The pool and hot tub were clean, game room was pretty sparse but there are pool tables and shuffle boards. There have cable hook ups, just have to get a box (free) from the office. Close to shopping and hiking. One downside is that the "street" within the park is pretty tight. We have a 25 ft motorhome and it was pretty difficult to back in to our spot because it was so narrow. We were on the west side, facing the mountain. All in all not a bad spot to stay for a few days.

In Town and Private Spots,

This place is a gem. It’s walking distance to downtown, across the street from a convenience store, Starbucks and restaurants, and has multiple hiking trails within walking distance, including one out the back gate. Each space is surrounded by 15ft hedges to provide privacy so don’t have to worry about closing the blinds and you can use your patio as you please without people bothering you. This is definitely an RV park, not a campground, but it offers the best of both and I’ll be back.

Tip: ask for a spot that is not on the hotel side of the property.
