Quiet location during the Week

We went on Wedn nite which was so perfect, quiet, water was great for cooling off in and the stars were spectacular. The following nite the camp was filling up with one big group. They were polite and quiet but they had these GIANT spotlights to light up the entire campground. There went the stars! First come is great since we are not far away and can go weeknights.

Cute, small campground with great creek access, amazing host

T-mobile didn't really have cell service much in the area. Dawn is an EXCELLENT camp host - she definitely added joy to our stay, and also checked on everyone in the evening. Great campground next to river; there's a sliding rock and swimming hole next door (not crowded when we visited July 4th weekend); If Middle Fork is full, there's also Pipi campground(quicker to go back to Highway 88 to get there vs. driving around the entire section). Stayed in site#6, which was closer to the road but felt very secluded. Dawn also usually has firewood for sale as well.

Best campsite to be at away from the city

This campsite is quiet and peaceful. The person who is in charge was very welcoming. I enjoyed my stayed there. The place was beautiful where you can just relax and listen to sound of the water flowing throughout the day. I highly recommended this place to anyone who has a small or big group.

El Dorado County’s best kept Secret

The campground is located next to the Middle Fork Cosumnes River. Accessable from Hwy 88 just past Hams Station on Cat Creek Road. The camp has 18 sites that each have tables and fire rings. Sites are accessable by smaller RV’s and travel trailers. There are no    electrical hook-ups, dump station, or water, so plan on being fully self contained. Each site has very nice tent sites and are mosly located very close to the creek and offer good privacy. The camp ground fills up on most weekends but usually has sites open during the week. This has been a “ first come, first serve” campground in the past, but may change now that it will be managed by a recreation management company. Check with recreation.gov to confirm. Fishing, swimming, and hiking are activities. Bear River Reservoir Resort is a close drive away. Highly recommend.
