Jackson Creek Campground

Jackson Creek Campground sits on rough access roads within Tahoe National Forest, requiring vehicles capable of handling uneven terrain to reach the 14 forested sites. The US Forest Service operates this seasonal campground from May through October, providing vault toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site. Creek proximity offers natural water sounds, though campers should verify current flow conditions before arrival.

The forested setting provides natural shade and allows pets on leash throughout the developed area. Nearby Bowman Lake Dispersed camping lies less than a mile west for those seeking primitive alternatives. Jackson Creek works well for campers comfortable with basic amenities and challenging road conditions who want a forest base camp away from heavily trafficked areas.
