Attention Customers:

  • For the remainder of the 2025 season, Findley, Fir Top, and Woodcamp Campgrounds will not have running water. Please plan accordingly by either bringing large water jugs to fill water at East Meadow or Pass Creek Campgrounds, or coming prepared with enough water for drinking and to ensure your campfires can be extinguished entirely for the duration of your stay. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you enjoy your visit.
  • For the remainder of the 2025 season, Findley and Fir Top campgrounds will not have flush toilets available. Temporary portable restrooms will be available in lieu of the flush toilets. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you enjoy your visit.

Attention: Due to the threat of golden mussels, these boat launches will be closed to motorized watercraft for the 2025 season: 1) Jackson Meadows Reservoir boat launches (Pass Creek and Woodcamp) and 2) Bowman Lake. You may still launch non-motorized watercraft from these boat launches. For more information, about the golden mussel and how to do your part to reduce the threat of introduction, please read below and visit: https://www.nidwater.com/jackson-meadows_._The non-native, highly invasive golden mussel was discovered in Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta in October 2024. Once established, they can affect flood control by reducing water flow and contribute to harmful algal blooms. Please contact the waterbody you plan to visit for latest information about launching requirements. Since golden mussels and their larval offspring are very small, they may easily go unseen on your watercraft. To keep our favorite lakes and rivers free from this risk, please Clean, Drain, Dry equipment and watercraft before and after entering a waterbody: https://dbw.parks.ca.gov/?pageid=28993

Beautiful Lake, OHV friendly

We just got back from staying at Findley Campground at Jackson Meadows Reservoir. We've been to other campgrounds there but this was our first time at Findley. We had site 6, which is a pull thru site and is at the far end of the campground. It's incredibly quiet being at that end which is great. But the pull thru is not structured great as it dips down and back up so it was a difficult spot to get level. Plus, the site itself is down some stairs so it's not right at your trailer entrance if you have one. There is a great flat spot for a tent though. The in-laws were at site 8, which is a back in site, and it was much more level and a better spot IMO. Findley is also a ways from the water. We did walk down and back but the walk back up is a little rough and wouldn't recommend for someone with mobility issues. But the reservoir was beautiful as always, choppy, but great for boating and paddleboarding. And as usual, there were tons of people on dirt bikes, side by sides, if you're an OHV fan Jackson Meadows is the place for you, but if not, beware that it does create a lot of noise so know where you're going beforehand! Dump station is at the beginning of the main entrances and it's $20 to dump which seemed extreme to me.
