Howard Meadows Campground

Mendocino National Forest manages Howard Meadows Campground, a dispersed-style site in the hills above Covelo accessible by drive-in, hike-in, or walk-in routes. The road in runs muddy in wet conditions and requires a capable 4x4; a secondary exit exists but demands low-range four-wheel drive. No trash service is provided. A trickling creek runs through the area, and vault toilets are on-site. No pets are allowed.
