Where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Grider Creek, this Forest Service campground sits within the Klamath National Forest at an elevation that keeps it closed from November through April. The 28-foot RV length limit and combination of drive-in and walk-in sites accommodate different camping styles along the forested creek corridor.
Basic amenities include drinking water, restrooms, picnic tables, and trash service, with campfires and pets both permitted. One recent visitor noted storm damage had temporarily closed the facility, though seasonal reopening typically occurs by May. For additional options in the region, campers can explore campgrounds near Seiad Valley or check Fort Goff Campground northwest along the Klamath River corridor.
Description
For hikers heading north on the Pacific Crest Trail the Grider Creek Campground is the first glimpse of civilization in over 40 miles.
