Carberry Campground is located near Jacksonville in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The terrain consists of forested areas with a mix of trees and open spaces. Temperatures range from 30°F in winter to 90°F in summer, and nearby attractions include the Applegate Lake and the historic town of Jacksonville.

Sites are located along Cougar Creek. The tent sites vary in size, with the smaller, more intimate sites found adjacent to Cougar Creek. Lake access is found across County Road 777 from the campground, with a trail that leads to Carberry Creek. (When the lake is full, the trail ends at the lake). There is nearby access to Applegate Lake and an OHV trail system. There are wheelchair accessible facilities and trails. This site is open all year, but is a walk-in site during the off-season, with no service provided during that time. Park at the gate and proceed on foot from there. Please pack out what you pack in, and always remember to Leave No Trace. Directions
From Jacksonville, OR, follow Highway 238 southwest for 6.5 miles, turning south on Upper Applegate Road (County Road 859) at Ruch, OR. Continue south for approximately 18.5 miles (the last 4 miles are along Applegate Lake) to the junction with County Road 777. Turn west (right) and travel about 0.3 mile. Carberry Campground is on the left side of the road.
