Accessible by drive-in, walk-in, or boat, Golden Trout Campground sits along a creek in Plumas National Forest, with the main camp area split across two sides of the water. The site includes a hand-pump water source, a vault toilet, picnic tables, and allows campfires and pets. Mosquitoes are reported in heavy numbers, so bring repellent. The road leading to the older, more primitive section of the campground has sustained significant washout damage, limiting access. Campers wanting a more developed setup nearby can consider Sly Creek Campground roughly two miles southeast.
