Lake is beautiful. Campground extremely noisy

Our neighbors in A119 talked, played loud music, whooped and laughed loudly until at least 3 am. At about 11 pm, we requested that please keep the noise down and reminded them of the quiet after 10 pm park rule. They said that the rule only applied to loud music and proceeded to make rude comments and told us to call the ranger. No one answered the phone. We called the local police: no noise ordinance in the county. Our neighbors proceeded to increase the volume of their talking, laughing and started hooting (making animal noises) as well. My husband asked them again at about 12 am to please be quiet and they got even louder after that. We moved to a different site and were still able to hear them but the noise level dropped to a more moderate level. We reported them to the ranger the next day but did not get a satisfactory response. There were at least 20 people at that site. The ranger said that 8 people was the limit. Without enforcement, number limits or quiet time rules are meaningless.

If you like the heat

Don Pedro is a big beautiful reservoir that has plenty of fingers coming off the main body. Perfect for wakeboards! It gets to be around 100-110 degrees though. I like the campground more than the others on the lake because it has a lagoon for the kids with picnic tables, bbq pits and a large grass area.

Nice lake for family camping

We were there in July 2020 with a group with many children. We stayed at the full hookup spots H84,88 area. These spots were NOT good for little ones learning to walk. It was very uneven and rocky but spacious with trees and a view of the lake. We stayed Thursday to Sunday. Saturday is crazy at the boat launch— hundreds of boats. We hung out at the cove near us and the water temp was very pleasant. Water gets muddy...I wish it was clear for safety reasons, but we totally enjoyed it. Restrooms nearby were clean and spacious.

Good spot near water

Initial thought was the hill kinda sucked but it was ok, has cut outs on the hill for tents, very close the the water we were on camp sites numbers 20,21. No parking near camp site you have to unload gear and drive ur vehicle about 1/4mile to park. Good spot if you have kayaks to launch from.

Plenty of campsites

Great place to take the family or a large group. Group sites a very nice. Near by store for any items you forgot to bring. Take my boys here a few time a year. Fishing is always good and the water is perfect just to go boating. Not too crowded plus there is also a swimming lagoon, perfect to go for a quick swim or relax by the shore. The lagoon is great area for kids to play in the water and there are nearby grills to cook some burgers while watching the kids in water. They have a excellent fireworks display on 4th of July. Plenty of areas to go biking and there is a near by trail if you feel like going on a hike. The Blue Oak Campground just minutes away so you can access the Blue Oak Shoreline Trail but bring plenty of water and some snacks. Trail is 7 miles round trip.

Family camping

My family and I stayed for 4 nights at Fleming Meadows Campground. For the most part we had a great time. The grounds could use some cleaning and repair. There were cigarette butts and bottle caps everywhere. I know it's hard to keep up on that and people really need To be respectful and throw there trash in the garbage and not on the ground. The kids enjoyed the man made swimming hole with the fountain. Pretty hot with not a lot of trees.
