Close to town and running a short summer season from July through mid-September, Camp High Sierra sits within camping near Inyo National Forest and draws a notably family-oriented crowd. Reviewers note the campground tends to fill with kids, and the on-site showers with warm water are available to non-guests for a small fee. Electric and water hookups accommodate RVs up to 30 feet. Temperatures can drop sharply, with one reviewer recording 41°F at 6pm in mid-June. New Shady Rest Campground is a nearby alternative for campers wanting a different setup.
