Peninsula Campground Seasonal Fire Restrictions

Effective June 10, 2026 camp fires, cooking devices fueled by wood or charcoal and liquid fuel torches are prohibited at the Peninsula Campground for the remainder of the 2026 fire season.  Portable cooking devices and portable campfires fueled by pressurized liquid fuel are permitted for use by registered campers in designated campsites. This order is in effect due to dry conditions and the remote nature of the Peninsula Campground.

When making reservations at Peninsula Campground please be aware that both the boat launch ramps become unusable when the lake drops below 431 feet in elevation. This typically happens in late June to early July, but can vary annually. To check the current lake elevation you may visit the Department of Water Resources Website
