Oak savanna surrounds the campsites at Ascension Ranch, a privately operated property along the edge of Folsom Lake in Granite Bay, California. A trail from the property leads down to the lake. Two lower sites require AWD or better, particularly during wet weather. The ranch keeps farm animals on the property, including sheep, goats, horses, and chickens, which campers encounter throughout a stay. Sites run $49 to $245 per night and include electric hookups, drinking water, showers, toilets, picnic tables, and firewood. Pets are welcome. Campers wanting more options in the area can reference campgrounds around Granite Bay or the nearby Peninsula Campground within Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. The ranch works best for campers who want lake access alongside a working-farm setting.

We are accessible from both highway 50 and 80, from which you'll take hwy 49 towards Pilot Hill. Once you turn onto Rattlesnake Bar Rd, we are approximately 25 minutes / 9 miles away. Turn LEFT on Ascension Lane (the last private road before driving into the Peninsula Campground & State Park). We are about 5 minutes / 1 mile away. Stay to the RIGHT until you are at the 3-way split - take the road on the LEFT - then drive straight once at the gate please text the Ranch for Gate Code. Welcome to the Ranch!
