Arroyo Salado Dispersed Camp sits within Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, managed by California Department of Parks and Recreation, along an arroyo that provides some shelter from desert winds. The road in runs about a mile and gets sandy and rough in sections, making four-wheel drive the practical choice. Fire pits are present at some spots. Pets are welcome. Campers who have visited note that Arroyo Salado Primitive Campground sits just to the west for those wanting a more structured site. This dispersed area works best for self-sufficient campers arriving in capable vehicles who want proximity to Fonts Point without a developed campground.
