The sound of a creek running alongside camp is the defining feature of this free dispersed site in Ouachita National Forest. The site sits roughly 150 yards east of Forest Road 179, reached by a rocky, bumpy track immediately after a bridge crossing. Three large rock fire rings mark the area. The ground is rocky throughout, which makes tent camping uncomfortable, though trees are available for hammock setups. No cell service and possible Starlink interference from the tree canopy are worth factoring into plans. The creek draws anglers, though fish are present rather than reliably catchable. Flooding is a known risk. This site works best for car campers and hammock campers who can manage rough road access and want a shaded creekside spot at no cost.
