Just minutes from Zion National Park, we are ideally located for easy access to several of the nation’s most beautiful parks. Zion River Resort is the perfect base camp for day trips to Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon North Rim, Cedar Breaks National Monument and many other of the Southwest's most popular destinations. Visit our Itineraries page for vacation adventure ideas and our Calendar to see the exciting events we offer throughout the year.

For your comfort, each site has full hook-ups, a shade tree, fire ring (with the exception of 4 sites), picnic table, free Wi-Fi, and cable television. Pull thru sites are 60-70 feet long with a concrete pad and a grassy area perfect for relaxing on your lounge chair. Riverside Back-In sites average 40-50 feet deep, have gravel, and the Virgin River flowing behind them. There is a berm running along the river’s edge for the protection of our young guests; however, you can hear the river running all year. Standard Back-In sites range from 30-40 feet deep, have 30 amp electric, and are available with either a concrete pad & grass or gravel only. These sites are perfect for smaller RVs. Please help us maintain our desert grass by not putting down mats, rugs, or carpets. We will be happy to help you choose just the right site for your preferences and needs.

Tent sites are located beside the Virgin River, have small pea gravel, a fire ring, picnic table, and electrical outlet. Potable water is located at either end of the tenting area. The camper kitchen is available for cooking and washing dishes. The restrooms, showers, and laundry are close to the tent area. All resort facilities are included.

    Zion River Resort

    A Lousy Trailer Park

All this place is is a trailer park. It has no charm. Maybe if you have no understanding of what a campground is. The tent sites are just gravel with surrounded by brick walls. No trees no View. You have to be a simpleton to appreciate this.

    Zion Weeping Buffalo Resort

    Very thoughtful amenities

We stayed for 3 nights in the Cave Dwelling unit. The site was very clean, they check on the hot tubs daily to make sure the water levels are correct and in good order. Staff was very quick to help with any issues. This was a very comfortable stay and close to the south entrance of Zion National Park. The only downfall was the view - there was construction going on across from the property but we would definitely stay here again.

    Kolob Gate Gardens

    Man, what a let down

So, our original plan was to stay here 3 nights, but we changed our plans and just booked one... And man am I glad. Talked with the owner before booking, he sounded very genuine and had lots of great info on the area... Really great guy. But... He's not there running it, and I feel like whoever he left in charge is doing him a disservice. You can for sure see the work and potential, but really poorly maintained. Primitive spots (what we picked) were completely uncleared and overgrown with thorny grass, I was picking them out of my shoes for days from just setting up the tent. Porta potty was... Horrifying. An absolute biohazard. We didn't even bother with the showers after seeing the state of that.

Nothing is clearly marked, so it's questionable on if you're even supposed to be in certain areas...

Just... Good idea, and a good start, but needs some proper care.

Great vibe & Some tips for future campers!

We had a great time at site 2! The creek was wonderful to be next to and was so peaceful at night! Initially we had issues finding the site, for those looking for more info via reviews, do not follow your gps! It will take you off roading on private property! Instead call and get directions from a site manager and that will get you there :)! TB (the little orange cat) was super hospitable and sweet. Hung by us all night and even slept on top of our tent in between the screen and rain fly. All of the site animals were kind and made us feel much safer. We met with Travis who was super nice and friendly! He told us about the wildlife and gave us advice about places to visit. We were recommended taking Kolob terrace all the way up during sun set & it was beyond beautiful!! Our only regret was not doing it until the last night. A tip for future campers is to make sure you bring organic chemical free soaps because if you plan on taking a shower, the water comes and goes from the creek. Also, the bathrooms have locks on them which isn’t a big issue, but make sure to ask in advance. We made the mistake of not using the bathrooms until late at night & it was too late to get in contact with a site manager. The sites are a little hard to find because their camp maps don’t match their recent reorganization, but it’s not too hard to figure out. All around a great site with lovely people and animals!

    Incredible views, great site

We were in site 16A. It was close to 16B, which would be perfect for a large group, but we had plenty of privacy. Our site could have had 3-4 large tents with plenty of room. There was another group at 16B and we could see them, but it was very quiet at night. The hikes her easy and fun and we will definitely go back.

    Snow Canyon State Park Campground

    Amazing Small Campground

4 mile long campground with lava tunnels, petrified, sand dunes, and red cliff cliffs. Access to 14 miles of trails only 50 yards from the campgrounds. All RV sites are paved and close together, non-electric sites have a little more space. The campground is also the site of the Rangers station so a lot of traffic during the day but very quiet at night.

Was a fantastic place for the work week with easy hikes after the workday was done. The campground is surrounded by high red rocks and is a beautiful scenic setting.

    Better than Expected

My wife & I  stayed at Willow Wind RV Campground as we visited the St. George area. Normally, I prefer not to stay at private/fully established campgrounds because they tend to be glorified parking lots for giant motorhomes. To my surprise, the sites were well spaced apart and have abundant shade trees at each site. We went mid-week so there were a number of full time RV's staying there, but even so the place was not crowded at all. The grounds are very clean, and the staff are always cleaning up. They have clean, well kept bathrooms and showers along with an onsite laundry facility. All in all, nice place to stay for a stop through or multi-nights.

Near the National Park + Clean

This place was very nice. It had good amenities and was clean. It was kid friendly and I’m considering coming back with the family. RV hookups were great for power and charging an EV. The staff were very nice and there is tree coverage at the campsites for some added shade.

    Kolob Gate Gardens

    Adorable Campground near Zion

We had an incredible stay at Kolob Gate Gardens! The hosts were welcoming and a joy to chat with. We were the only guests and came at the beginning of the season but they still made sure we had all the amenities needed and offered great recommendations for local hikes away from the craziness of Zion crowds. Our favorite parts were the adorable night hike up the hill, listening to the creek from our tent at night, and their camp kitty, TB, who we couldn’t resist sneaking into our tent for lots of cuddles. The night skies were also to die for. Can’t wait to come visit again!

    Snow Canyon State Park Campground

    Wonky layout

General: Small state park campground with 29 sites and two group areas. There are a variety of sites in both size and quality. Most are paved but a few are gravel.

Site Quality: Sites 1-14 have water and electric hookups but are obscenely close together (I’m quite certain if a person in the adjacent site sneezed, you would hear it)! The one redeeming quality to these sites are covered pavilions with lights. Most of the other sites do not have w/e but four others did (15A, 15B, 17, & 18). Some of the driveways are very long while others are very short. There are two “shared” or “twin” sites that would best be suited for people traveling together (although they are not as close together as Sites 1-14)!

Bath/Shower house: There are two restrooms in the campground. The bathrooms are very clean, as were the showers (there is a code to get into the showers).

Activities: Hiking and biking. There are several trails accessible from the campground. Highly recommend hiking the Petrified Dunes trail! The short trail to Jenny Cave was also nice.

The campground was full on a Tuesday in April; I recall that when we made reservations a few months in advance we snagged the only site available. However, if I had known the layout, I’m not sure we would have stayed. The only saving grace is that Site 1 is at the end of the row so aside from the road, we had privacy on one side. If you are lucky enough to snag Sites 19-22 (especially 22), they are the most private sites in the park and 22 has the longest driveway (could easily have fit four of our vans with room leftover). The trails were beautiful but the campground could definitely  have a better layout. If we had one of these four sites, my rating definitely would have been higher.

    Zion River Resort

    Awesome experience!

My wife and I had an amazing experience at Zion River Resort. We stayed 2 nights in our camper van and used the electrical. Everything was exactly as or better than advertised. It was clean and well organized. The Wi-Fi strength was excellent. There were private bathrooms with toilet/shower combos. On site convenience store has everything you could want. We also enjoyed the heated lounge and we’re surprised with free coffee every morning. Great spot.

    Beautiful Park close to Zion

This was a beautiful park and very quiet at night. My only issue was the timers on the showers. It makes sense to help conserve water, but when you are on the road sometimes you want a long shower.

Great location, paved road, great spots

This place is really nice--like maybe too nice for me. Haha. Loop road is paved with those low curbs on the side. Street lights at night are helpful. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Site was great. Short drive to the gate into Zion NP. Great spot. Nicest we had on our trip.

    Super Convenient

Pull thru full hookup sites with dump at each site. Campground recently remodeled March 2023. On the Virgin River and close to restaurants if needed.

    Really well kept campground.

We extended our stay to 3 nights. Went to Zion one day. We hate crowds, and it's crowded on a slow day. So, one day was plenty. There is more than Zion within 10 min of this campground. Red Cliffs Rec area has beautiful trails and dinosaur tracks. There's the Quail Creek State Park as well. Hurricane is up the road and has even more attractions, hikes and ORV trails. The campground is very open and is year round. There are permanent tenants. It's very well manicured and the bathhouses are clean. For the area and getting FHU, it's cheap. Everyone is super nice here as well. There's a coin laundry. The machines are dated but, cheap. Honestly, we've paid more to stay at crappy parks. This one is quiet, pretty level and have mature trees.

    Zion River Resort

good staff, great shop, but not perfect

Pool was very busy, with the usual hot tub hoggers, but it was weekend and not the campsites fault.

However, there are only 3 shower/ toilet rooms next to the pool, this is not acceptable for such a large site. I waited 10 mins for a shower to come free (there was a queue) and then gave up, and had a shower in my small van. I paid for this site because i wanted to have a proper shower (our van is small), so this was frustrating.

There is road noise if on that side of the site, but its not terrible.

The shuttle they provide into Springdale is $15 each for a return journey, 4 times a day. dont miss the last one, or you walk the 10 miles back!.

No restaurants/ bars within easy walking distance, some within a mile or 2 further down the road.

Easy to find, helpful staff, propane for sale (we filled up here, no problems), decent sized pitch, very clean.

    Cabin review

Check in was fast and smooth. Got the key and remote for the tv then head to the cabin that was around the way from the office/pool area. Sheets was provided for the queen bed but not the bunk beds. Which was fine because we were ready with our own sheets. Rest room and shower was right in front of our cabin, so we didn’t have to walk far. Good ac unit and lighting the with number of windows they got. Overall a great experience from our 1 night stay.
