Coconino National Forest off Lake Mary Rd

Overall a really nice spot. Close to flagstaff if you need anything. We stopped here after a long road trip and got here at 10pm on a Monday night. No problem finding multiple open spots. Picked up some trash before we left but not a terrible amount. Overall a nice quiet peaceful spot. As always please just treat it with respect and pick up any trash you see - even if it’s not your own 💙

Lots of space and private ..but I can see how it can get full on a weekend. 15 min from Flagstaff. Pass the coordinates and you ll see a sign. The coordinates are not precise.

I just got here this afternoon and am in love. It’s quiet and remote but only about 10 min to downtown flagstaff. There are not many people out here and it feels very remote and yet still close enough to civilization if there is a problem. Getting to this site was not bad, I have a ford e150 and it did just fine. Agreed with the others that if it rains or snows that would be a different story.

Getting here was a bit tricky the first attempt. When you turn right off of lake Mary road, stay to the right past the mailbox banks. Then just stay to the right at the fork. The left takes you back around to lake Mary drive and the roads are CRAZY washboard. Damn near shook my fillings out.

Overall beautiful and quiet spot and if you keep going further down the road it just gets more and more remote.

GREAT spot for dry camping. Can literally camp with no one else in sight. Trees but open spots for campers with solar/starlink. See maybe 1-2 cars come in and out a day. Can hear the road but isn’t bad.

I will say if it has been raining heavily you may want to ensure you have 4WD as roads can get muddy and slippery. We came in on a day where it was pouring and I did have to use it to get further back in the forest. Dried up quickly though.

The roads are decent, except I expect not so great if it's wet. There was rain a few days ago and we see ruts cut into the road and a few spots still wet, but we managed with our travel trailer. 4G service available with AT&T and T-Mobile. We are not far from the main road. A few other campers nearby.

The sites are a good distance from each other. Very quiet, picked up some trash but not bad. Under tall pines so solar is slow. Got good T-Mobile. Can stay 14 days dispersed.

Lots of little pine tree saplings, rock formations, prairie grass. Loved the smell of the pine and sound of the wind in the trees.
