Rockhounds and desert explorers will find numerous opportunities at this Bureau of Land Management dispersed camping area just off Highway 93. The main access road branches left from the Nothing, Arizona pullout, passing through a cattle guard before leading to multiple camping spots scattered among large boulder formations and mature juniper trees. Laura M. notes the road "was recently graded so it was nice," though she warns of occasional dips that might challenge larger rigs.
The sandy ground provides level camping for both RVs and tents, with several sites offering enough space for multiple rigs. Campers consistently report good cell service, particularly with T-Mobile and Verizon, though AT&T reception varies by location. The area maintains a relatively quiet atmosphere despite some highway noise, and multiple visitors mention hearing coyotes during early morning hours. Free-range cattle, deer, and mountain lions also inhabit the region.
Road conditions become sandier deeper into the camping area, potentially requiring four-wheel drive for extended exploration. Most campers find suitable spots within the first half-mile of the access road. Fire rings dot various camping spots, and the BLM allows campfires and pets throughout the area. For those seeking developed amenities, Burro Creek Campground provides facilities about seven miles northwest.
