RV enthusiasts with boats will find convenient lake access at Antelope Point RV Park, situated on tribal lands within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The campground features 100 concrete pad sites with artificial turf areas and full hookups, accommodating everything from travel trailers to large motorhomes. Phill R. notes "there was ample space to maneuver our 19 foot TT onto the concrete pad."
The facility operates as a newer development with sites positioned close together on level terrain. During peak season, expect higher occupancy and potential crowding, though winter months see significantly fewer campers. Morning hours bring the sounds of utility vehicles from the adjacent boat yard operations. A retaining wall runs through the property, requiring awareness when moving around the grounds with children or pets.
Lake Powell access sits within walking distance, with a marina restaurant and gift shop nearby. The campground provides a shuttle service to the marina during busy periods and offers discounts on marina purchases. BBQ areas with new grills overlook the surrounding landscape. SpentBrassOffroad B. describes the facility as having "a bath trailer that is nicer then most have at home."
Access requires payment of national park entrance fees in addition to camping rates. The location provides a convenient base for visiting Antelope Canyon, roughly 10-20 minutes by vehicle. High winds can make awning use challenging during certain periods. Restroom facilities consist of a mobile trailer rather than permanent structures, and occasional sewage odors may occur.
Campers planning extended stays will appreciate the full utility connections and proximity to both lake activities and area attractions like Horseshoe Bend.
