Camping with a good fishing problem

A good place just to rest. It’s not a well maintained place; There is a porta-john on-site, no toilets or showers. Not many electric hooks ups. It looks like 110v no water or sewer. Coffee and restaurant gets an Alaskan 5 stars

A Hidden Gem

The Hidden Lake campground is made up of three sections we stayed on Ridge Loop and it was very peaceful. Price was $10 per night. There were lots and lots of bugs so make sure you have bug spray. Each site felt pretty secluded and private. If you are staying in a tent watch out for rocks we had to…

Favorite Alaskan Campground

Stayed here in June and it was beyond amazing. Small secluded campground. First come first serve basis. Only one other camper here. Small communal fire pit and food storage.

Great Site for 1st Timers

Rented an RV in Anchorage and were happy to set up at this camp site. Right on the water and could see boats and otters throughout the day. The site is situated in a great central area and walking to town or the harbor was quick.

Really enjoyed our stay.

Great RV park on the creek

Friendly staff. Some sites on the creek. Most full hookups. Most hate fire rings. Mix of pull through and back in. Amazing Mountain View’s. Nice small laundry. Clean showers

Good campground close to Seward

Camping is nice with some charming location under trees or next to the bay. However staff is not really friendly and some sites are not so great. A little bit pricey. Wifi only at the office.

Love it here

This is our favorite place. Coming from California and moving to Alaska was a big change, but we found the ocean again in Seward Alaska.

Great location

Great location, in between historic downtown with restaurants and the city with shops. Right on the water so great views! You don’t have a fire pit at campsite but you have community ones you can use by the water. Great atmosphere, fills up towards night time then empty during day. Sites are kind…

Quiet Seclusion

Camping is free and no registration required, just set up in an open spot. Spots are secluded and spaced far apart. Sites are nothing but a gravel pad. A communal cooking, fire, and food storage area is provided. Non-potable well water. Clean vault toilets. Very quiet. The weather was often much…

Sardines in a can

The tent only area was way too close together. Barely enough room for a tent, a vehicle, and the fire ring. I couldn’t even stay there. Went to the free campground at the National Park instead.

Forest acres

Lovely campground tucked into the woods outside of main Seward township. Lots of open space. Clean restrooms and a playground for the kiddos!

Fav place ever!!

We loved this place! The yurts were clean and cozy. They had a well stocked kitchen and lots of extras. Pancake mixes for breakfast, firewood, soap and shampoo. The owner was so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place. Worth the trip to Seward!

Fun place with restaurant, bar, store, liquor, to-go foods.

Great base location in the central Kenai Peninsula. Easy commute to Seward, Kenai, Sterling, (1 hour) or Homer (2 hours). Many excellent trails all around the mountain and Kenai and Russian River area where Gwins Lodge and Roadhouse is located. Primitive only. Porta-John. Bring water. Fire wood for…

  • Kenai River is 100 ft. across the Sterling Hwy. The Russian River comes in about 2 miles downstream. Famous for salmon fishing.
  • Inside historic Gwins Lodge Roadhouse restaurant. Bar is on the other side of the wall.

Amazing views

We had an amazing stay! It is so beautiful by the water, within walking distance to the Sea Life Center, and close to shopping. Great playground nearby too.
