Close to town & running water

This spot is so close to Seward it’s great! Spots are fairly spacious and it has running water which was exciting. Pretty packed when we were there also.

Great campground for kids

Campground is nice. Space between campsites varies based on campsite. I stayed in space 42. Seemed to be one of the larger spaces, and very easy to back in. Only down side is it is right next to the water source, so people are next to your space at all hours.

The best part of this campground is the bike park next door. They have stuff for all riding levels.

Forest acres

Lovely campground tucked into the woods outside of main Seward township. Lots of open space. Clean restrooms and a playground for the kiddos!

Flush toilets!!!!!

Okay so basically if there is running water and a soap dispenser the campground gets an automatic 3 stars. But this is a really nice campground. Probably my favorite in Alaska this season and I’ve been to a lot.

Tall trees. But come prepared for rain. You can see through the trees to the other campsites but the words here are nice and it is a short drive to the store, exit glacier, or the SeaLife center.

Nicely located for children

We chose this campground because others we normally choose were completely booked. We enjoyed that the campsite has trees (some very large) instead of just an open parking lot. Even though this campground had trees it still didn’t feel very private. There were no electric hook ups, no showers and no dump station that we noticed. I did however read online later that the dump station is located across from the playground. You chose your spot upon arrival then go check in at the entrance via credit card and small machine. There is a small playground on site but if you walk about 7 minutes to Seward elementary the playground is fantastic! My husbands tip for this campground is to not go near the dead end sign with a camper as it’s almost impossible to back out of. The sea life center was about a 10 minute drive, exit glacier hike 15 minute drive and Safeway was the next street over. If you’re looking to be a little out of the city/traffic this was nice but you did have some highway noise from the site. This felt like a friendly atmosphere and I wouldn’t mind staying again.
