Sunset RV, near Cottondale, Alabama, is a straightforward spot for those needing a quick overnight stay. With a mix of pull-thru and back-in sites, it offers full hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity, making it convenient for RV travelers.

The campground is right off the interstate, which makes access easy, but be prepared for some road noise. Visitors have mentioned that the sites are clean and well-maintained, with a small laundry room and basic amenities available. One camper noted, “Clean, nice management, easy in and out,” which sums up the experience well.

While it lacks some of the frills like picnic tables or fire rings, it’s a solid choice for a no-fuss stopover. If you’re traveling with pets, they’re welcome here, and there’s a small area for dog walking. Plus, at a reasonable price, it’s a practical option for those on the road. Just remember, if you’re looking for a place with lots of activities or amenities, this might not be the right fit.

Bright light and road noise

Stopped for an overnight on our way home to Atlanta from a trip out west. Not much of a park. Most sites are long term or semi permanent. Only 6 available for regular RV. Water, 30/50 amp electric & sewer There is a small laundry room The office wasn’t open but we had reservations and had received an email about our site and directions. WiFi was poor. It is right off of I-20 so there was lots of road noise all night. There was a very bright vapor light above our site that lit up the whole area. There is a small dog walking area.

Easy Off Interstate

We stayed at Sunset West, which is the same RV park, but just about 5 minutes down the road. Amenities were only available at the east location. This included a small office, laundromat, and shower room. We had site 57, which was a level blacktop site that had sewer, water, cable and electricity. Dumpster located on site for trash. Loud traffic noise. But, with all that, it was 45.33 with tax.

PARKING LOT CAMPING

We stopped here just for a quick overnight stay on our way to Louisiana. Gravel spots with a concrete slab in front. Definitely just a no frills parking lot with full hookups. No trees, no playground, no pool, no picnic table, no fire ring. There are 2 parking areas. The first area has the office, laundry and bathroom. Our site was 53. Each site faces the one parking next to you! See pictures. But, for 29 dollars a night for full hookups, it's ok.

Clean, great overnight place to rest.

This is a very nice place for an overnight stay. If your looking for amenities, this is not the place for you. Clean, nice management, easy in and out. I will stay here again. Full hook ups, including water sewer, electric and cable for $29/a night. No complaints here! Just off the interstate, I feel safe here! If you need a bath house close, again, probably not the place for you. Because it's across the highway. Close to everything in Tuscaloosa. No 5 stars because it sufficient for camping, not much more! Which is what we do!
