With 91 sites spread across four loops, this Alabama state park campground accommodates RVs up to 40 feet alongside tent campers. The facility operates year-round with full hookups available on select waterfront sites, though reviewers note most sites lack level ground and some concrete pads need maintenance.
Loop B provides the closest access to the swimming beach and playground areas. Mountain bikers frequent the park's trail system on weekends, while the small lake supports paddleboarding and swimming. Kristi C. notes "The lake is small and I enjoyed using a stand up paddle board." Several campers mention finding wild blueberries growing along the shoreline during summer months.
Cell service remains spotty throughout the campground, with AT&T particularly unreliable according to multiple reviews. The bathhouses, while older, receive consistent praise for cleanliness. Sites B37 and B35 offer more shade than waterfront locations, which receive full afternoon sun. Utility connections often require 25-foot hoses or extension cords due to placement.
The park fills quickly during fall football season, and advance reservations help secure preferred sites. For additional camping options in the region, campers can explore places to camp around Coker. This campground works well for families seeking lake access and RV travelers who don't mind unlevel sites in exchange for full hookups.
