      Gorgeous spot to stay

Great communication with staff. Location is right off the highway but the camp grounds are deep in the state park so it’s so quiet and beautiful. The marina is home too so many boats and fishermen but that’s about 3 miles from the camp spot. Love it!

      Blue Springs in July '

We camped here recently as a large family group. While our camping space could barely be called that, the park was quite nice. It was clean and well maintained, the bath house was clean, and there was lots of room for the grandkids to play and ride bikes. The springs area was shady, and the springs themselves were awesome (if you can stand the verrry cold water). The customer service was great.

      Camp grounds

As long as we been coming has it been this bad. Grass is over ankles. Roads has holes everywhere. Bathhouse needs so much updates. Shower stall are not clean very well.  We asked if someone could come and dig little trench so water could run off. Hasn’t seen anyone yet. Very disappointed with this vacation here this time

      This is an Amazing KOA

FHU, paved and level sights, clean and updated bathhouse and clean pool, playground, dogpark, koi pond, horseshoes, cute general store with necessities and souvenirs, propane refill and firewood! Has a quaint pond, with a bridge, and displays colorful lights at night. The Owner, Lori, showed us to our spot, and made sure we had everything we needed and gave us info on local shops and parks. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. We have been to this KOA 3 times now, and can’t wait to go back!

Nice, very quiet, heavily wooded CG

We have a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow and stayed in site 27 for 2 days in late April. The CG itself is clean, well maintained, but some of the facilities are showing their age and are in need of repair. The CG roads are paved, as are the sites. The site pads themselves are concrete and most looked to be pretty level. Most of the sites were fairly well spaced. The CG, at least during the week, was very quiet and peaceful. There were only about a dozen campers while we were there.   Other reviews mentioned ant issues, but we did not encounter any issues.

AT&T coverage was weak, with 1 bar of LTE service w/o a booster and speeds up to 0.5 MB/s and 2 bars of 5G service and speeds up to 0.7 MB/s with a booster. The CG heavily wooded, so we had no line-of-site to the DISH satellites, but did have a partial view to the NE from the front of the site, so Starlink was somewhat usable, with a quite a few dropouts, but speeds up to 6 MB/s.

Great Camping & Lots to Do

Our second stay here. First was in the spring of 2020 when COVID had everything shutdown. Spent Monday through Friday and enjoyed our stay with some friends. Lots of old 1800 to early 1900’s homes to see, some offer tours. Providence Canyon and the Kolomoki Mounds State Parks in Georgia are an easy drive and worth the trip. Sites are easy to navigate, utilities are in good shape, and enough Verizon signal to stay in touch.

Beautiful sunset by the water 🌅

Park was easy to get to. We were on site 1, a back in site. Sites were kinda close together, we heard a little more of our neighbors than we would have liked to. Campground was dog friendly and many were around. Bathrooms and laundry facilities were roomy and clean. The grill and fire pit were in good shape. We didn’t see a store for firewood and charcoal, so bring your own if you’ll need it. Although we didn’t use it, the grounds had a putt putt course that was available for guest use. The camp hosts were very kind.

      Fantastic overnight stop

I give this park a 5 star because it's easy, quiet, not crowded and the owners are here and hands on. We called ahead and the owner just said pull in a pick the spot you like then you can pay with a cc or cash. The end spots are $35 plus tax a night, the other sites are $40 with a patio and outdoor wrought iron tables and chairs. Sites are very big and there was lots of space. We took the dogs for a walk down along the creek, through some nice woods and a meadow, it was a nice walk. They even have a catch and release pond. Laundromat and private bathrooms were very clean too. Its also a mile off the hwy so it's so quiet. We will make this our go to traveling through ozark/Dothan Alabama

Great value for money with a spring on the doorstep.

4 RV sites with water and electricity(30/50 amp) hookups(no sewer). Showers and toilets are very close and clean and well maintained.
The family staff is incredibly nice and helpful.
Internet is fantastic, both their Wi-Fi and our Starlink.
      Thumbs up.

      Bring your fishing pole

Large sites with tall trees and plenty of shade. Easy check in with a friendly park ranger and also met the camp host who was also very nice. There is a big lake for boating and fishing and you can rent a small boat on site. The bathrooms and laundry room were clean but hot and muggy with just a couple of fans running. Not much else going on at this park. Down the road however is Providence Canyon SP and that is an absolute must if you are staying here. Providence Canyon has some great hiking and amazing views.

Good for an experienced tent camper.

We stayed here in early July for two nights. We had a thunderstorm early evening the first night making the picnic table shelter welcome.

It is a little muddy in places, and when it rains, it is a bit difficult to drive out due to mud. You do need a vehicle that sits a little higher than just a standard car.

Also, I recommend not using the privy. We took our own clean waste camping toilet for our stay.

TMobile cell service is very poor so don't rely on it for emergencies. We took our satellite communicator just in case.

Overall, we had a good stay. But you do need to be a experienced tent camper.

Good Overnighter or Short Stay Option

This review is based on a short-term stay versus a destination campground(CG). We traveled into the CG on the US highways following our RV GPS from FL with no issues getting to this CG. Check-in was very easy, and we were guided to our online reservation first choice, end site 19. Our check-in person was concerned we might not like pulling through site 19. He was correct, as this site was too short and had an incline at the unhitch point. We proceeded to the newer area, where we were given the choice of pull-through sites 97& 98, which were both FHUs and flat. We chose 98, which was fairly level and plenty long enough for our 5th wheel and F450. The sites in this CG are close to each other. There were no trees so that we could have put out our satellite, but there was no need due to the great cable selection. We got 3 bars on Verizon and used our MifI for what little internet we needed. We tried but could not connect to the CG's WiFi. They have very good water pressure, so we used a reducer. Where we were in the back of the CG, we could still hear the highway. There was no formal dog park, but plenty of areas to walk your dog. This is an older park with many permanent and seasonal residents. We were impressed that, for the most part, there was not that“trailer trash” look, and the residents were friendly. There are newer water and electric sites in the 100s area in front of where we were. There’s a shower house and laundry, but we did not use these facilities. This CG is a good short-stay option.

      Great place to overnight

New park only been open a few months. Level lots 3/4 mile off the hwy so its very quiet. Full hook up 50,30 and 20 amp. Saw a turkey gobbler in the driveway when I pulled in. Owner says there are about 40 in the area and a few deer. Horse barn is under construction but he did have available pastures.. catch and release fishpond with a nice dock..most sites are 75 ft pull through gravel and grass. I stayed in site 24 but there was lots of availability. Half the park was available , he's just opened. Bathrooms and laundry are still under construction. There were a few travel nurses staying here but everyone else met was passing through. I stayed longer than planned because it wasn't expensive and very quiet. Stores and post office are 3 miles away. Its really a big farm with a persimmon orchard but I missed harvest season. Persimmons are ripe October-December. Owner has 230 Japanese persimmon trees. I'd like to return at harvest time.

I came in thursday evening and most spots were full. Fortunately i was able to get one of the last ones. Each come with a couple of parking spots, concrete picnic bench, trash can, and grill. I was able to get a spot on the water, but i’m pretty positive they all are on the water. The road is bumpy on the way in so take it slow.

This spot while not on the water has a very good view of the water from across the street and is very enjoyable. There’s plenty of shade, and even though it’s a small spot, it’s roomy enough.
