Ahoy RV Resort

Accessible via a quarter-mile dirt entrance road off the highway, Ahoy RV Resort operates as a three-year-old private campground with 104 full-hookup sites arranged around a central pond. The facility charges $55-69 per night and accepts reservations, with pets welcome throughout the property.

Sites feature concrete patios, fire pits with fold-over grates, and sturdy picnic tables on level gravel pads. A fenced dog park includes toys and obstacle fixtures for pets, while the main pool area has two water slides and a fountain feature. The pond supports fishing and provides kayak access via a dock. Tall pine trees surround the property, though highway proximity means road noise carries across the campground.

Recreation facilities include basketball, pickleball, shuffleboard courts, mini golf, and a game room. The on-site store stocks basic supplies and equipment for borrowing or rental. Staff organize arts and crafts activities and themed events for families. Cat R. notes "every single person we came across was friendly and kind from staff to campers." Hot tub rentals are available for individual sites.

The resort sits 15 miles from Gulf Coast beaches and provides a base for exploring campgrounds near Foley. WiFi coverage receives consistent praise from long-term visitors for reliability and speed across the property.

Many campers appreciated the newer resort's extensive amenities and friendly staff, with well-maintained sites and excellent recreational facilities. Some highway noise noted but most found the experience positive enough to plan return visits.

Best yet in a year!

We've been at this a year now. Within the first hour my wife said "This is the best yet! I love my new campground!" The owners are amazing! Accommodating & helpful. The wifi was off the charts in a great way (Kelly told me they over engineered it - they sure did!). Very clean & we'll maintained.
I could go on, but I'd rather just start planning my return for a longer stay.

Nice clean park with friendly staff

This is a nice RV Park with lots of ammenties, like shuffleboard, pickleball, basketball, social room, pool with cool slide and a dog park. Its pretty close to the highway, so you get road noise, but its not bad. The drive in is about 1/4 mile of dirt road, but the park is paved with decent sized gravel sites, patios, picnic table and firepit and there is a "lake" in the middle of the park. The park is surrounded by tall pine trees, which is really nice. It was pretty expensive, and is 15 miles from the beach (66 for one night including discount), so not sure that we'd be back, but their weekly and monthly fees arent so bad. Overall a very nice park.

Great Family Fun

Wow, I can't believe we've been on the road for most of the month of July! One more quick stay in Alabama and up north we head! Wish we would have had more time at this park, will have to come back with some of our grandchildren! This is a newer park at only 3 yrs old. We had a really nice time here, every single person we came across was friendly and kind from staff to campers. We had a back in site #104, the site was pretty level with a large concrete patio, fire pit with the fold over grates, and a large sturdy picnic table! Full hookups. A store on site. Sites were spaced decently apart to not feel right in top of each other! All facilities are nice and still have that new feel to them. This is a dog friendly place with a nice fenced in dog play area furnished with toys and obstacle fixtures for the fur babes! (Though I camp with a cat, it still was nice!) The pool was nice with a fountain and 2 water slides, also a large pond in the middle of the park. Saw a couple of large fish! About a 30 min drive to local beaches. You could even rent a hot tub for your site! There's basketball, horseshoes,a game room, mini golf. Also arts and crafts, and theme days for the kids. We will definitely be back and am looking forward to using the hot tub! Price was with Good Sam discount 62.00 per night. Lake view.

Fun time!

We had a great time at Ahoy RV Resort! We rode bikes around the campground and outside of the campground on the surrounding dirt roads. They have volleyball, basketball and tennis courts, and tetherball. If you don’t have a volleyball or basketball, they have some equipment at the store that appears like you can borrow or rent. The kids had fun at the pool. Our neighbors were great! The staff was great. We didn’t do much in terms of “community” activities but they did have some evening stuff going on. There was a beautiful fog that came early morning. All around good time. Would return again. Also, there’s a fun little dog park!
